National Night Out Success
Hi, Neighbors,
A quick note to say thank you to all those who turned out for our terrific block party Tuesday night. We had just over 70% of households participate by attending, and a whopping 245 people that showed up throughout the night. A huge thank you to our donating sponsors – all of whom brought or donated free food, samples and giveaways: Chili’s (2499 & 3040), Rita’s, Baskin Robbins, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Brennan Contracting, DSG Benefits , New York Life, Cici’s, Azure Salon, CRE Credit Services, Painting with a Twist, Agave Azul, Lonestar Popcorn, and Designs by Kathy Craig-Silvia. Please be sure to stop in and thank these businesses for their support and participation. A special thank you to Jennifer Speer who arranged most of our contributing sponsors and their participation – she did an outstanding job for us!
Also, thank you to the many volunteers who helped with set-up, clean-up, electricity provision, tables, hauling away trash, and other such tasks. We couldn’t have done it without each of you.
We collected a good amount of food for the Children’s Advocacy Center Denton County (CACDC). If you forgot to bring your food donation on Tuesday night, you can drop it by Melanie’s house (1012 Big Canyon) anytime today, Thursday, and still participate. We’ll be sending the food to the CACDC on Friday. Thank you for being generous!
